FAQ for Camping

We run a traditional camping set-up across large open fields — there are no boundaries or designated pitches. A Standard Pitch suits a 2–3 man tent or a roof tent (max 2 people); anything bigger needs a Large Pitch. A Large Pitch suits a 3–4+ man tent, a campervan, or a trailer tent, and the price includes up to 2 adults + 3 children. See our tariff for current prices.

No — Greenways of Gower doesn't accept motorhomes or touring caravans, and we don't offer seasonal pitches. We're camping only: tents, short-wheelbase campervans, and trailer tents.

We have four spacious field areas, and from most areas you'll have a good view. The quiet field at the bottom has less of a view. The top fields have some outstanding views out across Oxwich Bay.

The large grass play area is set apart from the camping field, which is kept as a quiet, tranquil area where guests can relax without games or cycling going on around them. If you'd prefer to watch your children play right by your tent, this site might not be the best fit for you.

Not at all. There's no high density of traffic passing our site — it's 400 metres off the main through road, so no narrow, busy, winding country lanes to navigate.

Not really — our pitches are grass with tarmac roads running through the site.

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome (all breeds except those banned under the UK's Dangerous Dogs Act). Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the park, exercised off-site, and not allowed to foul the park.

Yes — an eco-friendly, modern shower block with hot water on demand and underfloor heating, at no extra charge. Coin-operated hairdryers are available in the ladies' shower room.

It's our policy not to overload the site, so you're highly unlikely to have to queue.

Not really — between 12 and 120 metres depending on which part of the site you're on.

Yes — laundry, ironing, and freezing facilities are available in the utility room.

We're a quiet, relaxed site. Please be considerate of other guests, especially in the quiet fields.

Yes, next to the camping area — safe and secure with plenty of open grassy space. Children must be supervised at all times when using the playground.

We're a families & couples site. Singles groups and large unrelated parties generally aren't accepted. Small, responsible adult groups may be considered by prior arrangement only. No unsupervised under-18s groups, and no stag or hen parties under any circumstances.

Yes. We advertise as a quiet site, and any disturbances or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

The nearest beach is approximately 1.5 miles away.

About 10 minutes down the road is the Oxwich Bay Hotel and a beach restaurant — walking distance for most people.

Plenty, and reasonably priced.

Yes, we're a water sport friendly site. Prior notice is required, and a boat parking fee applies — see our tariff for small boat/jetski and large boat & trailer prices.

Yes — freezing facilities are available free of charge in the utility room.

There's no cash point on site, but reception can provide cashback (minimum £10, subject to availability).

Arrivals are from 1pm. Departures are by 12 noon. No refunds are given for early departure.

BBQs and raised fire pits are allowed, but must be kept off the ground (fire pits aren't permitted on bank holiday weekends). Open/ground fires are never permitted, for health and safety reasons.

Yes — electronic barrier access, 24-hour CCTV, and our manager lives on site.

We use self check-in: find your barrier access card in the box at reception, then head to the camping field following the signs and pitch wherever you like (please watch for “quiet field” signage). Check-out is 12 noon. Contact the park manager on 01792 391203 with any questions.

We take full payment at the time of booking.
