Gower Peninsula
Langland Bay
A classic year-round Gower beach known for its row of Edwardian beach huts, a promenade, reliable surf and a warm café culture — popular with locals and visitors in every season.
About the Beach
East Gower's Beloved Promenade Beach
Langland Bay is defined by its 57 Edwardian-era beach huts — painted green and white and allocated by council lottery each year — which frame one of the most recognisable seafronts in South Wales. The promenade gives easy access to the sand for buggies and wheelchairs, and the beach itself is a mix of sand and rock with excellent surf when conditions are right.
Overlooking the bay is the Langland Bay Golf Course, and at high tide the coastal path connects easily to the neighbouring cove of Rotherslade. Tennis courts are available for hire behind the beach huts.
